[APML] Two more objects from POSS2 data

Hi all

Following Vicent's example, I've been playing with
some data downloaded from the Digital Sky Survey,
specially the POSS2. It has been very funny to work
with those scans from old plates, and a real challenge
some times.

I uploaded two images to:
http://pleiades-astrophoto.com/pixinsight/DSS_Gallery/index.html

The first one is NGC1977, The Running Man Nebula.
Becouse there is no data for the visual filter (i.e.
green channel), I used the IR image as green. So, the
colors are not very accurate, but I think that the
result is quite pleasant.

The other image is M101. There are the results from
Juan Conejero and me, from the same data. It is very
interesting how two people can get very different
results from the same data. <g>.
I have to confess that I like Juan's result most, but
I think that my color balance is more accurate... at
least it is closer to what Rob and other guys did with
CCD.

Well, I hope you like them.

Oh, all the processing was made with PixInsight STD.

Carlos Milovic F.
