Hello! I tried Kodak E100G for my 4 x 5 camera. I took one
shot with TMax400 and I hoped to stack the E100G in Photoshop. I just developed the E100G with my Patterson E6
developing kit. This is the first time I’ve tried home developing of
chromes, since it is quite expensive to send chromes 4x5 chromes for
development from my town here in Australia to a lab that will develop 4x5s. I
gave the film a two stop push as per the instructions in the kit. The red response of the TMax 400 (which has about a 2
stop loss after 30 minute exposures) appears much better than the E100G, even
with giving it a two stop push! The Orion nebulosity is much cleaner on the
TMax, and the flame nebula region is clearly visible on TMax, but I cannot see
it on the E100G. I wonder if this could be my development technique or
the film. I’ve read past posts with different opinions
regarding E100G. Any updates? From what I’ve read, this is about the
best color film available in 4x5. Thanks and best regards. Mike --- |
