Thanks Renzo! No, it's not my first, just my first galaxy.
Unfortunately my 80mm achromat exhibits strong vignetting on long prime focus
shots. I'm still trying to learn how to deal with that through gradient
masks, Background Subtraction Toolkit, and the lasso tool. I'm going to
try it again and use your suggestions. I checked out your image and I
don't expect mine to look that good but I think I can get it
better. Thanks again.

You can try to use the curve of PS (62/120)
and the a unsharp mask
(200/0,8/23).
This only a start ...
Pay attention. I use this parameters with your photo but it is too
clipped
on dark.
Probably the original must process in different way,
but, I repeat, this is
a start.
