Thanks Kent and Rodney. I think you have pointed out all the things I
wasn't aware of. I'll look into doing the cutting myself.

It may be a non-issue after this roll anyway as it was a test roll to
see how well the slide film works for me with my equipment and my
location.

I do have one more question: does it make any difference as far as the
scanning process is concerned, whether the slide is in a mounting, or
laying flat without a mounting, like negative film?
