Hi Kent
Your response may have been slow but the information is great. I will go
the spotlamp route rather than the filtered forced air. This will also
eliminate the need for teathered clips at the bottom to keep the film
from flapping. Mr Murphy says those two strips of film will make contact
in the breeze right after I close the door.
The cabinet will be free standing as the location of the darkroom is not
100% secured yet. Still negotiating permanent real estate space in the
basement with my wife. :^)

I didn't use a spotlight but a PAR38 150 watt floodlight. This is a outdoor bulb and is water proof, just in case water drops on it. It will provide just the right amount of heat to dry the film in a few minutes. Be sure the bottom of the film is at least a foot or more above the lamp.
DO NOT use a heatlamp. This would produce too much heat and could melt the film.
DO use the some weight at the bottom ends of the film. They could be regular film clips or even clothes pins. This keeps the film straight as it dries.
