Hi Vicent and and Carlos--
Thank you both for your replies and suggestions.
I'll read more and try again---there's so many neat features in your
software. For me using it is not an intuitive leap from using Photoshop.
Jumping in and trying to use it without  reading the manual is like jumping
into the cockpit of  747 Jumbo jet and trying to fly  with no training! 

I'll copy the processing icon and send it along later.
