Though I would defer entirely to Jerry in his recommendation, I would encourage you to try 45 seconds and 60 seconds - you'll get less structure but the colours will be much deeper - depending on how the aurora is moving, you may get the best of both worlds - a deep shot that sat still for a minute!

Hello all, could anybody tell me how long is sufficient to take a shot of an Aurora using Fuji Superia 400 Film?? A superb display is visible from Ireland right now, Aurora's o f this intensity are rare here in the Emerald Isle!! It's the only print film i have right now.
