[APML] Mounting ink jet prints

I wish to laminate some of the prints that I have done with my Epson 820
(yes I am happy with the printer).
I plan on mounting them on 1/2" thick MDF that I will cut, edge mill,
and paint the edges prior to laminating.
Due to the nature of ink jet inks I assume that the "old fashioned"
method of heat laminating (I still have a press) is out unless I am
looking for a new art form.
What are the alternatives for bonding the print paper to the substrate?
