sorry for the ccd shot, it is all I have to share
today :-(
This is my first attempt at a color mosaic. I shot
the Rosette Nebula through [SII], Ha and [OIII] filters on Friday
night.
I am still working on gathering more data, this is
only two hours, 20 minutes for each filter at each of two sites for a total of 6
exposures of 20 minutes.
Since there is only one shot through each filter,
the signal is noisier than I'd like but that should improve when I can gather
more data.

If the green/blue turns you off, let me call your
attention to this:
Earlier in the summer I attempted the same
object:
Mike Cook helped make it even better by combing my
color with Stan Moore's Luminance (Red) data. That work of Mike/Stan is also on
the linked page above (thanks Mike and Stan!)
Anyway Green/Blue is where the action is in the
star forming nebulae!
