Shooting nebulas here in the suburbs requires a different technique.
I cant achieve the great color and tonal range of a deep RGB from
a dark site because of the horrendous light pollution here. I compensate
by going long on the H-alpha which I then incorporate into the red channel.
The result is often a monochrome red and not particularly color accurate
from the purists perspective. It's the best solution IMO for imaging under
bright skies.
