Paul, to the best of my knowledge the two have the same emulsion but the
E200 is marketed for the professional so you can be pretty sure that is
has had a good transport and has been stored at the proper temperature.
The Elite film might have just been sitting in an un-refrigerated bin
somewhere.  

Trust me when I say that given all the time involved in setup and
shooting there is no economy in using sub-standard film.  Go with the
E200.

Which Kodak Extachrome Film do you all use for astrophotography.  I have
seen  KODAK EKTACHROME E200 135-36 for sale here in the U.K.  Is it the
correct film to use. Or should I go for KODAK ELITE II 200 135-36.

Advice greatly appreciated.
