RE: [APML] Canon FD 85 mm f1.2 L

Yes. A very good lens optically, but the manual
focus was very loose on my unit and it was difficult
to manually focus due to that. I've spoken to
one other owner who did not notice that problem,
so there is a chance that it was my unit.

The lens is very heavy, so make sure that your
mounting is up to the task. I don't remember
it having a separate lens mount brace like the
longer fl F's.

Hi!

Has anyone tried the Canon FD 85 mm. f1.2 L lens for
astrophotography?? I would be happy if that objective
gives a good image at f1.2 - 1.4 for H-alpha and
f1.8 - 2.0 for color.

Thanks,
Vicent.
