[APML] OT? : H-Alpha filters for Nikkor internal filter holders(39mm)
If I were shooting techpan this would not be OT but since my intentions
are "darker"
I apologize for the post in advance.
Stuart
This note is for Phil Perkins - found an old e-mail id for him that
didn't work -
Phil, if you're still on APML can you reply off-list and if anyone knows
Phil is
not on the list and knows his new e-mail id, can you send it to me?
Phil - I have the same 400mm apo f3.5 Nikkor with 39mm drop in filter -
I saw an
old post of yours asking Jerry L for help on parking an H-Alpha or DS
filter in the 39mm holder of your long lens. How did that go by the way?
I'm just beginning to experiment with my ccd camera and my ultimate goal
is to use
my 400mm f3.5 with an h-alpha drop in filter so I can take deepsky
shots in h-alpha. With my ST-7E I would get a 40'x60' fov with the 400mm
lens
and that would be pretty cool I think. I think I'll buy a 72mm h-alpha
filter and step ring for all my other lenses but ultimately I'll need a
39mm because
I ain't gonna buy a 122mm h-alpha filter for the front of this
beast!
