Hello,
The "we need new computers to
process 16 bit files" gambit might be working ... but I just learned something
that maybe some of you weren't aware of ... or maybe I'm the last person on
Earth to not know this ...
Adding lots of adjustment layers
has always resulted in big file sizes when I saved everything in Photoshop
format ... I just learned that you need to turn off "Include Composited Image
with Layered Files" in the "Saving Files Preferences" to avoid this... the file
sizes will shrink substantially.
Whatever you do, don't tell this
to the wives ... (or if you have this off, turn it on and say, "Look Honey, we
need new computers because going 16 bit I can't manage these monster files
anymore...")
