Hi Tony--the CCD is from Starlight Xpress--not SBIG.
They're in the UK.  On the SBIG list you may see occasional jabs between the
owner 
Terry Platt and Michael Barber. A point of contention seems to be that
Starlight's
claim that their CCD's do not need dark framing. 

The need to do dark frames on SBIG CCD's is one of the things that makes me
stick with film!
