Re: [APML] Meade 390, flip-mirror, and ST-4 focus advice needed
I second Kent's recommendation of the FlipMate. I'm using a Meade 390/ST-4/Flipmate for my guiding and they're working out great.
I highly recommend you add a second thumbscrew to the focus tube to keep the ST-4/Flipmate secure. Also, don't just hand-tighten the focus locking screw; use a screwdriver or pliers when you've nailed the focus.
