[APML] North America Nebula - TV85, Supra 400

Between my summer vacation and the New Mexico monsoon season I didn't shoot
any film between early May and September this year. I was getting pretty
antsy to get out into the desert and get a shutter open until the weather
and moon and my work schedule all finally came together a couple of weeks
ago. Here's a shot of NGC7000 taken at our club dark sky site north of Las
Cruces. Two 45 minute images were combined in Registar and processed in
Photoshop. I brought up the reds a bit (hopefully not too much) using
curves and finished with a pass using SGBNR. BTW, I did most of the
processing using a ViewSonic flatscreen monitor and it seems like the only
downside is that the images are much more vibrant than they appear on a CRT
so I have to be careful to not leave them looking too dull on a regular
monitor.

I've learned an awful lot from this group and feel like my skills are
advancing a little with this image. I just want to say thanks.

Comments welcome,
Dave
