Thanks to everyone for their kind comments!  Joe, I've
found that you cannot use the autofocus sensor for 10D
wide field astrophotography using EOS compatible
lenses.  It doesn't know quite what to focus on, since
everything is at "infinity."  For prime focus shots, I
use the STI Stiletto IV for focusing and have found it
to be very accurate (after some minor tweaking). 
Actually, focusing through the viewfinder for an
object like the moon may not be so bad, but it won't
really get you tack sharp.  Unless you have something
like the STI product, it's best to check the image
focus with the laptop and adjust as needed.  There is
also software that makes 10D focusing easier as well,
but again it requires the laptop at the scope.  Check
