Hi Chuck and Gary,

 Here is a web site that lists a large number of amateur observatories.
Some have step by step images to follow. I used this list to pick the parts of each observatory I liked best when building mine.
I also have images showing my construction. If you have any question fell free to send me a note of line. There are a few things I would have done differently.
