I don't think they bloat, it's just that when they overexpose the cores are 
totally burned out. Because color neg film has more latitude, it will hold 
detail in the cores longer.

Right now, yes. But Ektachrome 200 is so good for red objects, and Fuji 400 
so good for blue objects, you have everything you need. You ain't missing 
nothing.
