Seems everybody shoots M42...I think it must be a
Federal Law or something <g>.
Well here's my first attempt. I blended a 10
minute exposure using a mask into a 60 minute exposure to keep the core from
burning out. This technique is probably old hat to most of you but this
was the first time I've tried it. Took a while to figure out how to get
the mask right.
This is off a roll I started earlier in the
month...then clouds/rain set in and I got tired of waiting...so I shot the rest
of the roll with daylight photos (of my equipment, natch <g>) and got it
developed. Not sure what other list members do, but it takes me a
Looooonnnggg time to get through a roll of film.
The good news is it looks like I may be passed most
of my focusing issues. The recalibration of my Stilletto KEF was a
success. No donuts on this roll and only a few exposures were a little
soft in focus (read: operator error).
Another shot I posted was from the ISS/Space
Shuttle transit on 10/12. There is a light gradient in the lower left from
the waxing gibbous moon. I left this in there along with the trees.
I think this gives the picture scale and dimension. Whatda y'all
think?
There are a few other shots I may be able to get
posted in the next day or so if time permits.
Comments welcome (and encouraged).
