Hi All
Thanks to all for replies to my recent question on
picture reolution for the web.
The debate conc. Matts S & T cover has prompted
me to look at some older posts (sorry, I don't read all of every message
posted).
Although a lot of the current debate is over my
head (much too teknikal for me!!), I think it was Rob Gendler (apologies if I'm
wrong) who said a lot of people make a mistake with assuming "resolution"
was the picture (or screen) size.
I must admit, I've always looked at a pictures
resolution as being 1024x768 etc.. (ie. the dimensions). Apparently I (and many
others) are wrong, and resolution is to do with resolving power. This would make
sense, but could anybody explain it in a little more detail (not too teknikal,
please) in order I can understand it more fully. Thank you
Best Regards
Eddie Guscott
