I think there are as many opinions about the good and bad of a product
as there are people to write them. :-) What I have noticed is that
negative reviews, especially this one, dwell on the points where 35mm
film SLR cameras are better but don't mention even one point where
digicams are better.

Fortunately vacation trip photos are something I rarely worry about.
90% of the time I need to take one or two photos and get them on the
computer ASAP. Film is a real pain for this sort of work. A digicam
should be perfect.
