[APML] New image: M8

Hi friends,

I know summer is nearly over and some of you are tired taking a look at M8
images, but I want to add one of those evergreens to our Spiegelteam
homepage <g>.

The image was taken with a 4"-Pentax SDUF I  in our first night in Namibia
and we were badly surprised about the big blue halos we got with that
instrument even if the focus is perfectly adjusted.

Because of this problem we selected the brightest stars with the magic tool
in Photoshop, wided the selection by 5 pixels and used the minimum filter to
shrink the stars a bit. A soft unsharp mask was added to get the brilliance
of the stars back. This way helped a lot - it is still no perfect but much
better than without.
