Thanks for sharing Eddie.  I just received a GP mount (non DX) last
week as part of a package deal.  Although not rigid enough for AP or
high powered observing, it's a nice little mount.  I can literally carry the
entire mount (head, tripod, and counterweights) with one hand.  It is quite
rigid for its size/weight. If the DX is still very portable, yet sturdy 
enough for
high power planetary observing, I might just have to upgrade...
