I see + and - corrections in Dec, but I don't see them exhibit any
pattern, nor have they seemed excessive.  I've always assumed that these
were more or less normal, and influenced as much by the seeing as
anything in the software.  With a perfectly balanced load in the dec
axis, I think you should expect to see + and - corrections, since with
all else being ideal (polar alignment, etc.) the corrections due to
seeing conditions should be randomly distributed on both sides of zero,
no matter how much you fiddle with the agressiveness. 

Note that I'm still using the original software load I got with the
device back in '98.  Guess I ought to download the latest version one of
these days.
