[APML] Super Supra 400-(140 minute & 330 minute Bubble Nebula shots)

Hey all,

I submit these photos not for praise or criticism. I
was just amazed at what a long lasting film Supra 400
really is. The 5 1/2 hour shot was an accident, I fell
asleep. :-) I have spent the last 2 weeks re-shooting
the Cocoon and Bubble with 2-6 hour exposures. That
film will be developed in a couple of days.

I'm aware there are focus and guiding issues at work.
In defense, I'd like to mention that on the longer
shot I forgot to plug in the dew zapper. When I woke
up at 5:30, I found the corrector dewed over and the
208XT still guiding with brightness readings of '03'.

The prints plainly show the Bubble, they do not show
well on this scan however. My daughter was kind enough
to scan the 2 prints on an office print, scan and copy
machine (Lexmark X83). She was also kind enough to
provide the link, as I still have no desire to mess
around with this website stuff. When time permits,
I'll scan them on the SS 4000 and then see if I can
screw them up in Photoshop.

What even these lousy scans do show however, is
Supra's ability to continue to collect light at a
steady rate for longer than even I thought possible. I
had figured 3 hours was the max, well now I know it's
closer to 6.

Shots were taken through a 12" LX200 on Supra 400
film, OM-1, guided with a 208 using a Taurus T III.
The exposure info below each shot is wrong. The left
one was 140 minutes, the right 330 minutes. Raw scans,
from 3" prints, no manipulation or processing.

Just click on the link.
