Re: [APML] Fuji 100 and RG200 Hyper and Exposure Times

Jerry,

Your message asks about RG400, but your subject says RG200.

My tests of RG400 (the old stuff) found that hypered RG400 (36 hrs at 30°C)
lost light sensitivity for exposures up to 17 minutes, then picks up some
blue sensitivity for longer shots, with no change in red and green. My
recommendation is that hypering RG400 is a waste of time and materials.

RG200 (the new stuff) is best hypered at 50°C for 12 hours (at 3 psig). I
have tried 9 hours and 14 hours, both showing slightly less performance than
the 12 hour hyper. RG200 hypered at 30°C for 96 hours is slightly less
sensitive than the 12@50°C, but better than the 9@50°C.

Unhypered RG400 is a bit less sensitive than hypered RG200 12@50°C and about
equal to 9@50°C.

Hope this answers your RG question. I haven't done anything with Fuji
HQ100.

Don
