RE: [APML] new BRC shot
Hi Bobby,
Great shot, as usual. Nice color in the 6559 area.

I've had a similar situation lately with 75-90 minute exposures. One
thing I discovered is that my older Pentax 6x7 body seems to have this
problem a lot more than a newer 67 body, so I suspect the film transport
mechanism in the older camera is part of the problem. It's a "bargain"
condition unit at that, and it looks like it. For this reason, I've
been considering getting the vacuum back from Hutech that retrofits on
to 6x7 and 67 bodies, replacing the existing hinged back. It's a
heckuva lot cheaper than getting a dedicated vacuum back camera, but it
still has the issue of requiring 220 film, or 120 film that's had the
paper back removed in the middle of the roll.

Give Provia 400F a try if you haven't already. I'm happy with what I'm
seeing from this film, and the +1 push shots I did recently really pick
up red and blue. I think it's a good astro film - not quite as red
sensitive as E200, but really nice all around.
Sincerely,
