Re: [APML] First image with TP 2415 and Ha-Filter

Hi John,

Due to your last mail about grain, I reprocessed my image. Now I smoothed the background a bit and I think it's better now.

Thanks for your input,

Nice one Manfred! Especially from mag 4.5 skies. If you used tech pan for luminance information only, there is a way to reduce the film grain in the colour information. Apply a light blur to the colour image first. In the composite, the sharpness, contrast and smoothness is retained from tech pan. This can really help reduce the grain added by your Supra 400 shot. Great shot! A quick unrelated question Manfred, does the VC200L vignette at all at f9 or f6? Thanks!

Hi all,

I did my first image with a hyp. TP 2415 and a Ha-filter (Lumicon). On my homepage you can see a composit of this image with an older color image of those region.

It is amazing, how much more details I could bring out of the nebulae details, even the TP-shot was done at home in my garden under a 4.5 mag sky.

See the result on:

Comments are wellcome,
