Re: [APML]First attempt at the Witchhead

Thanks Chris.  Pinos is as popular as ever but the skies are getting worse and worse.  I still can't believe what they plan to build in Tejon Ranch, I can feel my blood pressure rising as I type this.  As for the image I had to do major curves just to get that.  The nebulosity is barely visible on prints from the negs.  I did more work on it take a look if you want and tell me what you think.

As for the color correction, or lack therof, I sent out the check yesterday for a Borg 100ED tube, it's time to decommision the Megrez.

Daniel -
An excellent effort on a very tough object!  You captured most of the nebula.
When you look at the overall image, it appears too blue, but if you try and ignore the blue halos around the stars and concentrate on the background it looks pretty good.  Its the intense blue halos from the Megrez refractor that's throwing off my eye.  Got a M-V filter?

P.S.  How's Pinos doing?  Have they built the Tejon Ranch complex yet?  I missed not hanging out with the guys up there.  I always made a trip up there once a summer.
