Further to this, does anyone know if the earlier Minolta Multi II 
film scanner (now discontinued) has the same artifact? Gene Horr,
in reply to some other questions I posted in another thread (thanks,
Gene!), has stated (implied, really) that his even earlier "Multi" 
model does NOT have the artifact. But the II may be different in 
that respect.
