Imacon Scanners.......

I would be very careful about considering Imacon scanners.
For general, terrestrial and commercial adverstising photography they are 
excellent scanners, but for astrophotography, they exhibit a possibly serious 
defect.
Imacon scanners, at least the models available a couple of years ago, 'flex' 
the film into an arc or curve for scanning and this results in star images 
not being sharp across the image. This is somewhat ironic because they 
advertise this 'flex' technique as producing better scans. Tony Hallas had 
one for awhile but gave up on it's use for astrophotography due to this 
problem.
