[APML] rework/rescan of M31

Hello all,
I am beginning to think I should revisit PPF. The Nikon scanner with the
grain reduction software allowed me to use only 4 of the previous 6
negatives I used 2 years ago and I have a much smoother and cleaner image.
This is a stack of 4 PPF around 60 minutes in duration. I am going to give
PPF another shot. I think if I expose long enough I won't have to push the
stretching and bring out any boogers on the film.

Here is the old version from two years ago:

Here is the new version: (warning: large file.400kb)

These reflect my evolution with regards to enhancement. I am really just
trying to work with what I have on the negative and not make something up or
push too hard. CCD has really shown how smooth an image can be and I think
with the right mix of film and exposures, we can achieve some pretty deep
and smooth results with our current stock of films.

Clear skies,
Jeff Ball
