To Chris and all: well, maybe I didn't make myself understood or I used the
wrong name. The Lumicon filter I'm referring to _is_ actually intended for
solar use, and I'm 100% sure I didn't put my beloved eyes at any risk: if you
remember, Lumicon ads in astronomy magazines a while back also boasted some
prominence shots supposedly taken with this filter.
In fact, it comes with a prefilter, mounted on a telescope cap, that absorbs
95% of the incoming infrared radiation: then, the remainder has to pass
through the actual filter, which is mounted _before_ any eyepiece or any
astrophoto gear.
