Re: [APML] M27, Bubble and Scorpion

Nice images Manfred! I use an IDAS filter much of the time from a 4 to 4.5 mag site also.

Nice to see some images from a VC200L. The US importer for Vixen stopped selling them a couple of years ago, so we don't see many around. Recently TeleVue took over as the US Vixen distributor, and these scopes are back. Images like yours will probably end up selling a few scopes over here <g>.

Subject: [APML] M27, Bubble and Scorpion

Hi all,

I've uploaded some new pictures to my homepage.

This is a composit with a new version on KODAK E200. The old SUPRA 400 image gave me some blue and green for the inner part of the nebula. The new image with the E200 gives me better sharpness and more of the red, YEAHH - I have the ears of the nebula !!!

This image is done with the IDAS LPR filter. It seems, that the filter will pass near all important colors. Only the blue could be better, but that is also the fault of the KODAK E 200.

This image is done in my garden at a sky of around 4mag. Normaly I have to drive an hour from home to get a dark sky, but with the IDAS LPR filter and a ratio of f/9 I can do such images from home now !!!

Comments are wellcome,
Manfred
