[APML] Bad E6 processing

Got a question for you guys who know a lot about the actual E6 process.  I
sent in a roll of Provia 400F into Kodak for developing with a +1 push.
I've not had a problem with them so far until now.  The problem is that
parts of the roll are a emerald green, exposed frames and unexposed
parts(sprocket holes etc...).  Obviously this is poor developing but what
caused it go bright green?  Cross contaminated chemicals?
Luckily, I only lost one set of shots of Gamma Cygni, NGC 281 looks ok and
so do the aurora and some star trail images.

Living out here in the sticks, Kodak is really the only alternative for E6.
However, there is a pro lab in Boston that I might try next time.
