I have not seen the patent involved but I feel very sure that Jack Marling 
would not have tried to interfere in any way with the private user hypering 
his or her film - it was almost certainly to stop another commercial player 
taking part of his business away without paying him a royalty.

Yes, working too hard sums it up accurately! :)  Since the collapse in the 
telecomms market I have moved sideways into e-Learning and have been 
putting all of my energy into growing that business to a similar size.  I 
had a good session in June from southern France and I'll be doing some more 
astronomy soon.
