Yes, you do have higher resolution for sure. The two images we posted are both half size in the large version. The full size versions do show a bit more, but end up being 6 mbytes. Each instrument has its strengths and weaknesses. The Mak-Newt is extremely fast in recording dim nebulosity. It maxes out at approx. 2.5 to 3 arc sec FWHM. My 10" at F14 can sometimes record ~ 1 arc sec, but is painfully slow. I'm working on two new instruments, one 10" F9 Mak-Cass and a 12" F9.5 Mak-Cass. Hopefully they will produce high resolution images with decent speed. Both instruments will be optimized for CCD / 35mm with small central obstructions around 30%.
