Self-Hypering Camera From Taurus-Tech??????
Really??
I'm amazed at this thread.
Either Taurus has discovered something we don't know (doubtful) or everything
we have all learned about hypering ( by trial and error) is invalid.
Or it may just confirm what we already knew, that hypering is a 'black art'
and nobody really knows how and why it works????
I, for one, don't believe either of the above. (especially with Tech Pan)
The hypering process has been well documented since the 1970's.
Of course there are degrees of hypering, ranging from the simple hand
pump-multiple flush-bake approach that Lumicon popularized to the hard
vacuum-serious dessication -hydrogen-bake many of us perform.
The Taurus camera is an interesting concept, but the amount of actual speed
gain and reciprocity failure reduction (hypering) it will provide is
miniscule at best.
