Jerry is right, wide open
the only reason to stop your camera down even 1 stop is if your lens has
significant coma wide open, like my Nikkor 58mm 1:1.2 Noct lens :( and you
get seagull stars which you find bad enough to sacrifice some meteors to
correct.
