This is a nice image.
1. Did you use bgsmooth? What were the parameters you used?
2. The stars have evidently been sharpened, because I can see black outlines around some of them in the cluster. You might want to tone that down just a smidge. The field stars look great.
3. The cluster center appears burned out. Is the scan clipped on the high end? If not, You could rescue definition in the center with the high end of the curves. Otherwise, when you do the shorter exposure you can mask it in.
4. If you feel inclined to conform to the convention of orienting North up, you might want to rotate the image 180 degrees.
5. Galaxy NGC 6207 came out nicely.
