Re: [APML] hey Tony!
Dear Members:
I am appalled that a company so excellent as Astro-Physics can feel
itself and colleagues that promote excellence in optics to be threatened
by a large and wealthy Mc-telescope company through law and through the
courts.
What a devious and odious path this is!! What a stink!!
I have in mind as example the famous optical company Zeiss, that produced
optics second to none much like Mercedes has produced automobiles. In
this famous company's history it has an important history, including
assisting strategically Germany in the war, and since then, thank
goodness, an assistance to the western Democracies in building state of
the art optical telescopes that assist us right now in the present
emergency. This company was a little company focused entirely on quality
over quantity just as is astro-physics in this present day. Our present
ability to look in enough detail into Afganistan and keep our people safe
is greatly correlated with excellent organizations, such as
Astro-Physics, to survive and flourish in our Democracy.
God Bless our country, and bless all of you too,
Glenn Shaw
