Hi All,
The clouds parted enough for one
night to get three negatives of the AE Auriga area with the 14.5"... when I look
at these negatives and some that I shot of M33 I think that the RG200 is
over-hypered at two hours on the open reel because there was a distinct drop in
sensitivity and loss of contrast. The film had a bluish appearance... those that
were hypered for an hour look more orange and picked up more... my conclusion is
that this film works best by outgassing for 30 minutes under heat and then
hypering for an hour. Overhypering probably fogs some of the receptor sites ...
thus the lack of performance.
Having said all
this, the AE shot was made with 3-75 minute exposures from Eagle Eye Observatory
on the 14.5" Cassegrain at f/8. Seeing was fair and the sky was a bit bright
with all the water vapor streaming in from down South... but it came out OK I
guess.

Hope you like
it,
Have a good
one,
