Yes, I am using an 80mm f11 refractor to guide, yes it is longer than my R200SS
ota.

Wonderful, very rigid and tight focuser, I modified it by adding a second
locking screw. I also made an antidew heater for the objective.. the st4
generates enough heat to keep itself dry.

I use Losmandy dovetail rings mounted on a 10" long aluminum bar, I keep the
rings on the guidescope all the time, then slide it on the dovetail plate
mounted on the OTA.. I just got a digital camera and plant to take some pictures
of my setup.. early next week or so.

Rigid ones like the Losmandy rings..

Not a good idea, all it takes is 3 arcseconds of flexure to generate trails on
the images.. avoid trouble.
