Matt & Herm,

Take a look now at the M27 and M16 shots on my website now. 
I rescanned and the colorcast I mentioned was the fact that the
raw image was a "negative image" vs. positive.  My 11 year old
walked up behind me after I just did a scan and pointed it out.
 No duh Dad...<g>  Maybe Vuescan has a setting to invert the
raw scan for me?  Anyway, I inverted it in PS and tried to adjust
the histograms without cutting off the RGB channels so much.
 I included a downsized raw scan link on the bottom of the M27
page.  Please let me know if I'm making progress.  I'm much happier
with the results but obviously need to expose longer and stack
in the future.
