Re: [APML] First attempt Tech Pan/Color composite (HELP!)

Very good 1st. attempt Scott!  I like the 2nd. one a little better.  Looks a little more crisp on my monitor.

Subject: [APML] First attempt Tech Pan/Color composite (HELP!)

Hey Tech Pan users, and you to Rob Gendler, or anyone else who wants to
comment,
I have just completed my first attempt at combining a filtered Tech Pan shot
and stack of 2 color shots. I tried two different techniques for this first
attempt and would really like some feedback.

I used Rob Gendler's technique and one of the techniques described in
Jerry's book. I registered the Tech Pan image to the stack of 2 RG200 shots
and then combined them in PS as described. I found it difficult to get them
to match exactly, is that a common problem working with two different types
of film, or with a filtered shot? Both were taken using the same lens. It
appears the second image on the page looks sharper and aligned better. I'm
sure I did something wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Comments, criticism's and observations. It might be late tomorrow before I
can respond due to work. I had to do this on my laptop in a hotel room so
please be gentle. <g>

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks,
Scott Hammonds
