Scott, I like them both but if I had to choose, I'd choose the second one. Seems a little sharper.
Also, the colours seem a little less intense in the second and I like that too.

I am not sure I understand how you registered the images. If you did this in PS then my guess is
that the two different emulsions (they are on different thickness bases too) are not exactly to
scale and so you may have slight misalignment of stars. If you registered in Registar or something
that will stretch each image to make sure all stars align, well then I have no idea. In any case,
it is very slight and maybe I'm imagining it.
