the flare is my "schuler reflection" that I've always had with that filter
 
that reflection around bright stars has been a feature of that filter throughout the time I've owned it (2002).

Richard, definitely improved! I caught the flip error but assumed it was mine that was backwards! Glad that's sorted out. There is a bit of a flare below the bright stars - did that get pointed out already?

Thanks for the comment Matt and I agree with you and the others that
suggested I try some deconv.

I had not yet installed AIP4WIN on my new imaging laptop, but with the
encouragement from you and others to do the deconv, I did the installation
this morning and ran two passes of Richardson Lucy deconv.

I also corrected the mirror flip of the image: no one caught that it was
mirror imaged from the AO7!

Anwway I fixed and uploaded the image. I think it definitely looks better
now.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think it has the Pizzaz now....
