RE: [APML] New Shots from NMS
Alan, Chris, Rob,
Thanks for the comments and constructive feedback.
The Rosette was only 1 image, not a stack of 2 which I would have preferred.
Weather and time just didn't allow me to get another. Actually I did through
the 6" Tak, I guess I could combine those 2 shots.
Chris, The original version of my Rosette just before I posted it looks a
bit closer to the one you sent me, thanks. I have about 15 more images to
get through, think I'll table this one for a while. I'll check out the
background of M42.
The dark skies really let you go deep, my friend with the STL11000 put
together several amazing images from our trip.
Rob, I think you'd move if you ever had the chance to shoot from really dark
skies! Can't you read x-rays from a remote site now over the internet?

Hi Scott -
The Rosette looks to have a slight yellowish/green cast to it. I sent you a
file with my adjustments. I tweaked the mid-tones in the green channel with
Levels, did a slight boost in Curves along with some saturation adjustment.
M42 looks darn good, the background looks a bit washed out on my monitor,
maybe adjust the shadows a bit?
Chris
